    This year we sponsored both Water Stop #2 and the Caterpillar Crawl at the run.  Proceeds from both events support local pediatric cancer research and patient programs for kids fighting cancer at Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital.

(He helped obtain a $15 million state grant to open the center at Upstate's Community Campus in 2017)  It takes medical waste - mainly umbilical cords and placentas collected during the course of delivery -- and stores the umbilical cord blood to be used for stem cells to help in healing and research."
